Pitas in Paradise is a delightful culinary gem nestled at 730 N Main St, Gunnison, CO. Known for its vibrant, casual atmosphere, this restaurant has quickly established itself as a community favorite. The standout dishes include juicy gyros and flavorful falafel pitas, generously filled with fresh ingredients like cucumber, feta, and zesty tzatziki sauce. Many patrons rave about the delicious twisty fries that perfectly complement their meals.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, especially with the added charm of a puppy-friendly patio, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family. While some reviews mention a lively environment, echoing conversations can be a minor distraction. However, the excellent service, particularly from attentive staff like Audrey, consistently earns praise. Customers find value in the generous portions, though a few note that the prices lean on the higher side.
Overall, Pitas in Paradise delivers a satisfying experience, whether you’re stopping by after a mountain trek or looking for a quick lunch before heading to Crested Butte. With its delectable menu and friendly vibe, it’s a must-visit for both locals and travelers alike.

Friends love this place and I have to agree! We grabbed some gyros right before closing and ate them on the patio. Was great after traveling into town and conveniently close to the grocery store. The chips on the side were also a nice addition!

Good food. Place was a little loud. Just people talking and the echo (some were employees). Pricing was a little on the high side. However, we did have a good experience and have no problem coming back. Coleslaw was great! 5 stars. Check out our YouTube channel at Coolest Life.

My pita was filled with gyro meat, , cucumber, feta, banana peppers, and Kalamata olives with delicious tzatzki sauce. That with the twisty fries made my day and filled me up after a lot of mountain trekking. The super friendly server and puppy friendly patio made it an extra great experience.

Stopped here based on the reviews and it was a great choice. We ordered the lamb giros with a side if sweet potato fries and onion rings. The food was so good i forgot to take pictures :-) Audrey met us at the door with a smile and tons of energy. Great service even when I messed up the transaction. She took care of us and everyone in the place with a smile. Plenty of parking but I bet it does get crowded. Highly recommend! It was too early for me to have a drink but I did get a picture of the drink menu. Margaritas are supposed to be great!

Stopped at Pitas in Paradise for a quick lunch before heading on to Crested Butte. You order at the counter & the food is brought out to you. I got the Falafel Pita & added twister fries. Hubs got the Thai Rice bowl & added gyro meat to the top. They had generous portions. We sat outside on the picnic tables. Service was quick & we left with full.

The pitas here are bomb. And they include the sauce and toppings you would naturally want unlike some places I've been where those things cost extra to add. A greek style pita should definitely automatically include feta and tatziki, and this place delivers. They're also still reasonably priced - 15 for a pita and chips/coleslaw. Not too bad! Plus, if you dine in during happy hour that's just 11. (The atmosphere at this location is somewhat lacking, though, I will say. I might only dine in if it were for happy hour. Otherwise I'd order this deliciousness to-go.)

Great food! We had the Original Pita-most generous, and the three bowl. Cauliflower/potato with garam masala was the best of those but nice to get a sampling. Food came very fast too and very friendly service. Great prices for 3-5 pm happy hour. Would definitely stop again.

Don't let the fact that this place is in a shopping center fool you, it has good food and a pleasant atmosphere. They are a little short on help during the daytime, but otherwise, really Good experience. The falafel is moist and delicious, can definitely vouch for the pita and the sampler Thai bowl that they offer. Be warned that it is a little spicy, but tasty!
